Whose knowledge and experience in the food business stems from three generations when his grandparents opened up the first Vanacore local grocery store and bakery in Vico Equense, a town just outside of Naples. It was working there as a boy with his parents that Gigi began to cultivate his passion for Italian food. By the young age of 25 Gigi had already opened up a store of his own, and at 29 he came to Canada knowing it was ultimately this love and passion for food that he wanted to share with Canadians from coast to coast.

Today, Gigi’s vision is proudly carried on by the fourth generation, his children Flavio and Mena. They are an integral part of the company’s focus on customer and supplier relationships and proudly continue his legacy in providing the most authentic Italian food experience.
